Castles, villas and parks between the city, the Euganean Hills and the north of the province: Padua is one of the areas where I have photographed the most weddings.
The province of castles.
At the foot of the Euganean Hills, in Battaglia Terme, I have photographed two weddings at the Castello del Catajo, the sixteenth-century residence of the Obizzi family with halls frescoed by Giovanni Battista Zelotti, and Gianluca and Federica’s at Villa Selvatico, on the hill of Sant’Elena, in the park designed by Giuseppe Jappelli.
Not far away, in Due Carrare, Elisa and Andrea’s civil wedding at the Castello di San Pelagio, where D’Annunzio’s 1918 flight over Vienna took off. Closer to the city, the Castelletto Lion in Albignasego, a small nineteenth-century neo-Gothic castle in its own park, and the Castello dei Da Peraga in Vigonza, with a civil wedding and a session in the park with the couple’s little daughter.
In the north of the province there are the Symposio in Loreggia, where a couple could finally marry after postponing for a year because of Covid, and Parco della Vittoria in Trebaseleghe, with its lake and waterfall; in the province, too, the Agriturismo La Penisola.
Every wedding has its own story: the full galleries are in Stories.

The studio is in Martellago, in the province of Venice: Padua is less than an hour’s drive away, and the north of the province, from Trebaseleghe to Loreggia, is even closer.
Yes: among those photographed in the province of Padua are the civil weddings at the Castello di San Pelagio and at the Castello dei Da Peraga. A civil ceremony is shorter, but the day around it still deserves to be told in full.
