A documentary photographer, with twenty years of weddings behind him and a studio in Martellago, in the province of Venice. I stay inside the day and photograph it as it happens: what interests me is the soul and personality of the people I photograph more than the pose, and my job is to let moments happen rather than ask for them.
No. No lined-up group shots, no looking into the camera on request, no scenes staged a second time because the first wasn’t framed well. What you see in my photographs really happened, and it happened like that.
As little as possible. The way I work is a quiet presence that leaves room for people and for real emotion: I don’t interrupt, I don’t direct, I don’t restage, I wait. All you have to do is live the day; I watch, and step in with discretion.
Both, and the day decides. In post-production colour stays full where the day had it, and turns to black and white where colour added nothing. Never a fashionable filter: in ten years it would date the photograph instead of telling its story, and a wedding photograph has to hold up for thirty years.
Only a few, by choice: it is the only way to give each wedding the time it deserves, before, during and after the day.

As soon as you have a date, even a tentative one, and an idea of the place. I take on only a few weddings a year, so the first thing to check is that the day is free; everything else is built afterwards, together.
Yes, and that is where the work begins. Before I photograph you, I get to know you: you tell me who you are and what you imagine for the day, and then together we plan timings, priorities and atmosphere, so that nothing is left to chance. Knowing who you are is the only way to recognise, on the day, the moment that is truly yours.

The whole of the Veneto, across Venice, Padua, Treviso, Vicenza and Verona, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. This is home base, but the work reaches all of Italy: for a wedding further afield, just ask.

A complete, personal and coherent story of your day, to open again for years to come: not just the big moments, but the way the day was lived. The photographs are selected and edited with the same care as the shooting, with colour and black and white built around the emotions.
Yes, and it is the best way to know whether we understand each other. In the Stories, every wedding has its complete gallery: not a selection of highlights, but the account of how the day really went, from the first hours to the last toast.
Yes. Photographs and film can come together, from the same day and by the same hand. The films are short trailers, cut to the rhythm of the day rather than its chronicle: the voices, the silences, the changing light.
Yes. A couple session lasts a few hours and has no fixed date: we find the right moment together. It works before the wedding, when everything is still just yours, and just as well afterwards: for a trip, an anniversary, or no occasion at all.
Yes: pregnancy and the first days are two different sessions, and you can have both. With the same way of standing aside as at a wedding: I don’t interrupt, I don’t direct, I wait.
Yes, with Crazy Booth: the photo booth that comes to the party and lets the guests photograph themselves, with an instant print for each of them on the night and a private area to download every photograph.
