Villa Frattina is in Meduna di Livenza, in the province of Treviso, along the Livenza river that marks the border with Friuli: a sixteenth-century residence, now a country estate, with original frescoes in the entrance hall, a centuries-old park and an orangery hung with antique crystal chandeliers.

It is a venue that works by subtraction: few elements, a lot of green, and light that reaches you filtered through the trees of the park even in the middle of the day. In a place like this nothing needs to be built. The frescoed rooms give the quieter moments a warm, soft light, the park gives shade and depth to the portraits, and the glass greenhouse carries the party into the evening.

The photographs in this gallery follow Ale and Lisa’s day in its own order, from the first hours to the last toast, with no posing and no scenes staged twice. Meduna di Livenza is less than an hour from the studio in Martellago, near Venice.
