The wedding at Villa O’Hara

Villa O’Hara is in Torre di Mosto, in the eastern Venetian countryside between the Piave and the Livenza rivers: about four hectares of park with ponds, small bridges and lawns, made for open-air ceremonies. In spring and summer the wedding takes place almost entirely outside; in the colder months it moves into the halls of the villa.
It is a flat, open venue, and that makes it generous with light: towards evening the sun sinks low over the countryside and crosses the park from end to end. The water of the ponds doubles the reflections, and it is one of the things I look for when the couple slips away from the guests for a few minutes.
This is not the first wedding I have photographed here: at a civil wedding at Villa O’Hara, at the end of the night, every guest jumped into the pool, photographers included. This gallery is Silvia and Christian’s day, in 96 photographs.
